Join us for Spring Showcase night!
- We start right at 6:30 so please be here and seated at that time!
- PLEASE SIGN UP TO BRING AN ITEM FOR THE RECEPTION on the website – EVERYONE MUST SIGN UP TO BRING AT LEAST 1 ITEM. Remember that people are free to invite others to this so please make sure whatever you bring is enough for at least 8-10 people. Please try to have all food/drinks at Compass that morning so we can start setting everything out ahead of time but also so we can see if Compass needs to purchase a few more items. You can put items in the minifridge, If you forget to bring it that morning, then it MUST be there no later than 6:15pm. We will not have anyone serving the food so please bring items that are easy to grab or make sure that any pies/cakes/brownies are precut AND you bring a serving knife/spoon for anything that needs it..
- Some families dress up for this. Some don't. Just whatever you want but you do NOT need to wear your Compass shirts unless you just want to.
Spring Showcase Info
- If you have something that needs to go to the soundbooth, we will need it ASAP so we can test it out.
- **Parents of Kinder, Our Kinder Teacher will be communicating with you about Kinder graduation so be on the lookout for that info.
- CLASS/INDIVIDUAL TABLES: We will be setting up the tables in gym. You may set up your tables (either teacher or individual) after lunch on Monday (be mindful that we do have classes in there at that time so please don't get in their way) . Teachers, Please put a piece of paper stating the class name and age group and what they are displaying on the table however you want (just lying there, in a picture frame, etc…) Parents, If your child is going to have their own space, make sure you have a nametag for them as well for their table that they will share with others..
- ****Please make sure that your children/students know not to touch the presentation tables throughout the day****
- IF YOUR CLASS OR INDIVIDUALS FROM YOUR CLASS ARE PRESENTING on stage, you will come up and say something about your class and let us know what they will be doing IF YOU WANT. If not, then call them up (either individually or by class) and have them present. PARENTS, PLEASE LET YOUR CHILD KNOW TO GO UP THERE IF THEIR CLASS IS CALLED. When they are done, everyone sits down and we will call up the next class.
- IF YOU ARE HANDING OUT AWARDS, You will come up and say something about your class IF YOU WANT. If not, then call them up individually to receive their award. Let everyone know what award each child is getting. IF YOU WANT, you can say something about each child. When they are done, everyone sits down and we will call up the next class.
- IF BOTH PRESENTING AND DOING AWARDS, do the above, but have the children present first and after presenting, while still up there, hand out their award and have them sit down.
- IF YOU WILL BE ABSENT, please make sure the other helper/teacher in your class will be there. If both of you will be absent, then please see if another teacher can go on stage to call your class/kids up. If you are only doing a table, then make sure you set it up during the day and that it is ready to go that evening.
SCHEDULE
- 6:00 – doors will open. Please find a seat with your family (kids will stay with their family the whole time except possibly Kinder…please see above). **LIT Students, please arrive by 6:00pm to help with handing out programs and directing families in**
- 6:30 – Welcome/Prayer
- We will call the first teacher up, and they will hand it off to the next teacher presenting. PLEASE KNOW WHEN YOU ARE NEXT SO YOU CAN BE READY TO GO UP. If you ONLY have a table, then we will not be calling you up. We will go in the order that will be listed in the program.
- Ending Comments and Prayer
- Reception and viewing of presentation tables in the GYM immediately following presentations in the sanctuary. (please sign up for something to share on the event calendar)??????
- Please help your children during this time and make sure they save some food for others. ;). We will have at least 2 lines.
- PLEASE REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR CHILDREN”S DISPLAY WORK home with you...unless it belongs to Compass like legos.
- If you can stay to help clean up afterwards, that will be awesome!!!

EVENT CLEANERS and SHOWCASE COMMITTEE - If you are an event cleaner, It will say "EVENTS CLEAN" on the Compass jobs list or are on the hospitality showcase committee You guys will need to stay after to help clean. If you are not able to, please find someone to take your place.
