Winter Showcase

Additional Information
Winter showcase will be informal and laid back DURING COMPASS on the last day in the sanctuary, after elective classes.
- We will be on a modified schedule so no recess or chapel.
- Even though it is smaller than our spring showcase, feel free to invite family members if you know your child is participating in it.
- We do not have invites for the winter showcase.
Only elective classes are required to participate but any class can participate if they want!! Participation includes either a presentation table or a stage performance.
- If you are a new teacher and would like ideas please come see Leadership.
IF YOUR CLASS WILL HAVE A PRESENTATION TABLE:
- We will be setting up the tables in the gym along the wall.
- Starting after lunch (during recess), you can start setting up your table.
- If tables are not moved up against the wall yet (They will be moved during 4th period), you will need to do that or you can have the kids in your class help as well if you want to set up during your class.
- You will need to get a black tablecloth from the storage room
IF YOUR CLASS OR INDIVIDUALS FROM YOUR CLASS ARE PRESENTING,
- You will come up and say something about your class and let us know what they will be doing IF YOU WANT (we have the wireless mic in the sanctuary) If not, then call them up (either individually or by class) and have them present.
- PARENTS, PLEASE LET YOUR CHILD KNOW TO GO UP THERE IF THEIR CLASS IS CALLED. When they are done, everyone sits down and we will call up the next class.
- Because we don't have the sound system to use or the screens, Don't plan to do anything that will need those.
- We do have the speaker with a mic that can connect to bluetooth to play music
- You will need to make sure its connected and ready to go.
- You are welcome to bring your own speaker if you want.
We will have a COOKIE ONLY reception so please bring cookies to share
- We will provide water

MORNING SCHEDULE STAYS THE SAME
11:20 – 11:55 pm LUNCH(Elective Teacher Set-Up)
NO RECESS
NO CHAPEL
12:00 - 12:45pm ELECTIVE 3
12:50 - 01:35 pm ELECTIVE 4
- Helpers bring kids to SANCTUARY (except nursery…nursery moms will need to pick them up at this time).
- They will sit their kids by class on a pew in the back to wait for their parent. Once the parent is there, they will all go sit down (as a family).
- Cleaning can be done AFTER showcase so that we can start on time (unless you were able to clean the last 5 minutes of your class)
01:40 – 02:35 pm EVENT/SOCIAL(Nursery children will need to be picked up from class before event)
Order of events
- Once all classes are in the sanctuary, we will start.
- Welcome Guests/prayer
- We will call each teacher/helper up if your class is presenting or you are giving awards.
- If you ONLY have a table, then we will not be calling you up. We will go from the younger classes to the older classes. Since this is more informal, we will NOT be having a program handout this semester.
- Ending/Prayer
- After presentations, we will dismiss to go to the gym to look at presentation tables and for the small reception.
- PARENTS, PLEASE HELP YOUR KIDS GET THEIR FOOD
- We may go a little over on this day so you are welcome to leave after 2:30.
- MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUE END OF DAY JOB BEFORE YOU LEAVE
- IF YOU ARE ON THE EVENTS TEAM, YOU WILL NEED TO STAY TO HELP CLEAN.
- If you can't stay, please find someone to take your place.
